Commissioner’s Court Regular Session Agenda 1/12/2026

THE PECOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN REGULAR SESSION ON MONDAY, JANUARY 12, 2026, AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE COUNTY COURTROOM, PECOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 103 W. CALLAGHAN, FORT STOCKTON, TEXAS.

1. Prayer.

2. Public Comments on Agenda Items.

3. Court to consider and/or act upon approving Minutes of Previous Meeting(s).

4. Court to consider and/or act upon to Accept, Approve, and Execute a Tax Abatement Agreement with CoreWeave, LLC,  located within the Longfellow Renewable Energy Reinvestment Zone Established on January 13, 2025, by resolution of the Pecos County Commissioners Court, under the Provisions of Texas Tax Code 312 et seq., and accept a $1,000.00 Payment to Pecos County to cover Local Administrative Cost associated with processing the Application.

5. Court to consider and/or act upon approving 112th District Attorney to reallocate Budgeted Funds from a vacant position to existing Legal Assistant Position.

6. Court to consider and/or act upon approving 2026 Salary Schedule for Pecos County.

7. Court to consider and/or act upon approving Pecos County Investment Policy.

8. Court to consider and/or act upon setting Mileage Rate for 2026 ($72.5 cents per mile).

9. Court to consider and/or act upon approving Resolution for Timely Payment of Claims for 2026.

10. Court to consider and/or act upon request from Continental Resources, Inc. to construct (2) Driveways on the North Side of Trophy Road, in Precinct 4, (Sec. 34, Blk. 8, H&GN RR Survey).

11. Court to consider and/or act upon approving Tax Refund Application(s), as presented by Tax Assessor/Collector.

12. Court to consider and/or act upon approving purchase of a 5G Security Camera System for the Pecos County Community Supervision Building.

13. Court to consider and or/act upon extending Lease Agreement with Vertical Bridge (Alltel partnership d/b/a/ Verizon Wireless), for (5) additional years, for the Communications Tower in Iraan, Texas.

14. Court to consider and/or act upon request from Precinct 2, to utilize excess Budgeted Funds from Parks for Pickleball Court Repairs, General Repairs/Maintenance, Equipment and Supplies.

15. Court to consider and or act upon request from Precinct 2, to utilize excess Budgeted Funds from Road & Bridge to pay invoice(s) for Wiest Tire Pros, Elliott Electric Supply, Quill, Wallace Lumber Co., and other General Repairs/Maintenance, Equipment and Supplies.

16. Court to consider and/or act upon accepting Donation of Red Clay Dirt from Hatchett Backhoe, Inc. in Lamesa, Texas, for Precinct 2 Little League Baseball and Softball Fields.

17. Court to consider and/or act upon approving purchase of a 5G Security Camera System for the Rooney Park Basketball Court.

18. Court to consider and/or act upon approving LT Construction to replace Vandalized Glass Backboards at Rooney Park Basketball Court.

19. Court to consider and/or act upon Resolution reference Active Attack Response Equipment Grant Program, for the Pecos County Sheriff’s Office.

20. Court to consider and/or act upon accepting Donation of outdoor Christmas Decorations from Sidney Verette for Rooney Park.

21. Court to consider and/or act upon December 2025 County Court Fees.

22. Court to consider and/or act upon the Joint Resolution and Statistical Information for the upcoming Joint Primary Election.

23. Court to consider and/or act upon the Joint Election Services Contract between the Representatives of Republican and Democrat Parties and the Pecos County Election Administrator for the upcoming Primary Election.

24. Court to consider and/or act upon Pay Rate for Election Judges, Alternate Judges, Deputy Election Clerks, Central Count, Early Voting Ballot Board, Partial Manual Hand Count Board for attending Mandatory Training for the Joint Primary Election in accordance with Section 31.112 and 32.004(e) of the Texas Election Code.

25. Court to consider and/or act upon Establishing a Fee to be charged by the Pecos County Election Administrator under an Election Services Contract in accordance with Section 31.100 (d) of Texas Election Code.

26. Court to consider and/or act upon establishing a Fee to be charged by Pecos County for the Lease of Election Equipment in accordance with Section 123.032(d) of the Texas Election Code.

27. Court to consider and/or act upon approving purchase of a Polaris Ranger for Sheffield Water to be paid from Budgeted Funds.

28. Court to consider and/or act upon approving purchase of a 2025 Kenworth Dump Truck for R&B Precinct 3, to be paid from Budgeted Funds.

29. Court to consider and/or act upon approving purchase of a 2025 Cat Skid Steer Loader for R&B Precinct 3, to be paid from Budgeted Funds.

30. Court to call for Bids for the Construction of (30) Golf Cart Storage Bays at the Desert Pines Golf Course, to be received and opened by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Pecos County Auditor’s Office. Bid will be awarded in Commissioners Court on Monday, February 9, 2026.

31. Court to consider and/or act upon awarding Bid for the Sale of Real Property in Pecos County, described as Lots 1&3 Block 34 and All of Blocks 35 & 40, of the St. Gall Addition to the City of Fort Stockton, Pecos County, Texas. Request for Proposal’s received and opened by 3:00p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2026, in the Pecos County Auditor’s Office.

32. COUNTY TREASURER TO PRESENT:

A. Court to approve or disapprove Financial Report.
B. Court to consider and/or approve payment of County Overtime.

33. COUNTY AUDITOR TO PRESENT:

A. Court to approve or disapprove request for Line Item Transfers and Budget Amendments.
B. Court to approve or disapprove Reports of County Office(s).
C. Court to approve or disapprove Financial Report.
D. Court to examine and approve or disapprove all Accounts.
