THE PECOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN REGULAR SESSION ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2026, AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE COUNTY COURTROOM, PECOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 103 W. CALLAGHAN, FORT STOCKTON, TEXAS.
1. Prayer.
2. Public Comments on Agenda Items.
3. Court to consider and/or act upon approving Minutes of Previous Meeting(s).
4. Court to consider and/or act upon Proclamation from Pecos County Historical Commission, commemorating Year 2026 as 250th Anniversary for the founding of the United States of America.
5. Court to declare March 2023, as National Nutrition Month, presented by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Family and Community Health Agent.
6. Court to consider and/or act upon discuss Funding Request from Trans-Pecos Weather Modification Association.
7. Court to consider and/or act upon installing Camera System at the Juvenile Probation Department, to be funded from State Aid Formula Funds.
8. Court to consider and/or act upon approving Quote for Absolute Fire Protection, Inc, to replace Fire Suppression System at the Pecos County Civic Center.
9. Court to consider and/or act upon accepting Donation of (1) Pitcher’s L Screen and (1) 70’ Softball Hitting Net from FloSan Construction for Precinct 2.
10. Court to consider and/or act upon Resolution, reference Pecos-2025 OPSG Grant Program for the Pecos County Sheriff’s Office.
11. Court to consider and/or act upon Pecos County Sheriff’s Office Annual Racial Profiling Report/Deputies Contact Report for year 2025.
12. Court to consider and/or act upon adopting Resolution for General Victim Assistance Grant (2026-2027), for the 83RD District Attorney’s Office.
13. Court to consider and/or act upon approving Tax Refund Application(s), presented by Tax Assessor/Collector.
14. Court to consider and/or act upon appointments to fill vacancies for Election Judges and Alternate Judges for Six Month term as prescribed in Texas Election Code 32.002.
15. Court to consider and/or act upon request from Fort Stockton EDC to cut 7-D Road in Precinct 4, for a Water and Wastewater Line.
16. Court to consider and/or act upon request from Precinct 2 to Remodel Nunez Park Stage, to be paid from Budgeted Funds.
17. Court to consider and/or act upon approving purchase of (1) Awning for the Iraan Park Playground, to be paid by PILOT Funds.
18. Court to consider and/or act upon approving Predator Control Report from USDA-APHIS Wildlife Services.
19. Court to award Bid for the Iraan County Park-Splash Pad Chain Link Fence with Top Rail, (3) Gates including 4” Concrete Curb, Sidewalks and (2) Concrete Slabs for existing Awnings. Bid was received and opened in the Pecos County Auditor’s Office, by 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. (Bids to be opened in court).
20. Court to consider and/or act upon extending Opening Date for Aggregate and Emulsion Bids, (Crushed Limestone, Crushed Aggregate, CSS-IH Emulsion (or equivalent), and CRS-2 Emulsion (or equivalent). The new opening date set for March 4, 2026 at 3:00p.m., in the Pecos County Auditors’ Office, bids to be awarded March 9, 2026.
21. Court to award bid for 50,000 Tons (more or less) of Crushed Limestone (#1 & #2 Flex Base); price quoted should include: (1) freight, delivered charges to Fort Stockton, Iraan, Imperial & Coyanosa, (2) at yard (not delivered). Bid was received and opened in the Pecos County Auditor’s Office, by 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
22. Court to award bid for 10,000 tons (more or less) of Crushed Aggregate, State Grade #3, #4, #4 Modified, and #5; price quoted should include: (1) freight, delivered charges to Fort Stockton, Iraan, Imperial, Coyanosa, Hwy 2023, Harral Road & Puckett Road, (2) at yard (not delivered). Bid was received and opened in the Pecos County Auditor’s Office, by 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
23. Court to award bid for 100,000 Gallons (more or less) of CSS-IH Emulsion (or equivalent); price quoted should include a minimum of 2 hours demurrage charge and freight charges for delivery to Fort Stockton, Iraan, Imperial & Coyanosa. Bid was received and opened in the Pecos County Auditor’s Office, by 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
24. Court to award bid for 100,000 Gallons (more or less) of CRS-2 Emulsion (or Equivalent); price quoted should include a minimum of 2 hours demurrage charge and freight charges for delivery to Fort Stockton, Iraan, Imperial and Coyanosa. Bid was received and opened in the Pecos County Auditor’s Office, by 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
25. COUNTY TREASURER TO PRESENT:
A. Court to approve or disapprove Financial Report.
B. Court to consider and/or approve payment of County Overtime.
26. COUNTY AUDITOR TO PRESENT:
A. Court to approve or disapprove request for Line-Item Transfers and Budget Amendments.
B. Court to approve or disapprove Reports of County Office(s).
C. Court to approve or disapprove Financial Report.
D. Court to examine and approve or disapprove all Accounts.
